AI insights and reporting for Microsoft 365

Ask about license cost, failed controls and usage in plain English, check the sources behind every answer, and export the result as CSV.

What is Microsoft 365 AI reporting?

Microsoft 365 AI reporting lets you ask questions about your tenant in plain English, such as "which E5 users haven't signed in for 60 days?", and get an answer built from your own data instead of a report you have to find and filter.

365TUNE's AI agent answers from the data 365TUNE already holds: what every license costs, which security controls fail and how usage has changed over 24 months. Each answer shows its sources, and any result can be exported as CSV.

AI insights and reporting features

AI agent

Ask about cost, security or usage and get an answer with its sources. When a change makes sense, the agent suggests it, and nothing happens until it is approved.

Ask in plain English

Type a question instead of building a filter. The result is a table you can filter and export as CSV.

Questions to ask Microsoft 365 AI reporting

Four questions and what the answers showed in a 6,000-user sample tenant:

  • Cost: "Which E5 users haven't signed in for 60 days?" 61 users, $3,660 a month, with each user's manager and last sign-in in the table.
  • Waste: "Which departments pay most for licenses nobody uses?" $7,130 a month of inactive licenses split by department, with Sales North first at $1,414.
  • Security: "Which critical controls are failing?" Each failing control and the area it belongs to, such as identity and access.
  • Adoption: "Which teams stopped using Copilot since July?" The three teams falling behind: Sales South, Sales North and Leadership.

How it compares with the admin center reports

The Microsoft 365 admin center has a Reports dashboard with activity for each service, such as email, Teams and OneDrive, and each report exports to CSV. A question that crosses those reports, such as which inactive users hold the most expensive licenses, means exporting several reports and joining them in a spreadsheet.

Microsoft's Admin agent answers admin questions in Copilot Chat, and its documentation doesn't mention license prices. 365TUNE joins usage, licenses, prices and security results before you ask, so one question returns one table with the monthly cost already in it.

How your data is handled

  • What it reads: the data 365TUNE has already collected from your tenant, plus live queries to your tenant when a question needs current data.
  • Where it runs: on an enterprise AI service, in the United States by default. Processing in the EU is available on request.
  • What is kept: 365TUNE doesn't store your prompts or the answers. Enterprise customers can also turn on zero data retention at the AI service.
  • Training: your data, prompts and answers are never used to train an AI model.
  • Changes: the agent can suggest a change, but nothing happens without your consent and an approval.
  • Switching it off: you can turn the AI agent off for your tenant.
